WOW! We were so surprised to find that this hotel is actually combined from two of the family palaces from the era of the wealthy families of Florence/Fiorenza. While we expected to see the art and fabulous dome and other buildings built by the Medici and the other wealthy families of the Italian Renaissance, we did not expect to stay in one of their homes! It is right down in the old center of the city, so everything is a short walk. Our suite was fabulous. A huge old section of the palace with a gigantic window, one of my favorite features. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Very professional, proper and friendly. This hotel is operated like one of the old grand hotels of Europe, right down to the massive medallion on the key ring. We are planning not just to return to Florence/Fiorenza, but to the Paris Hotel. I love history, so it was fun staying there.

The location is perfect for walking to all the main attractions. It’s easy to get to from the airport. The tram costs less than 2 euros and if you get off at the train station it’s less than an 10 minute walk from there. We read negative reviews about the breakfast which is a self service buffet with a good selection of sweet and savoury items. Machines dispense a selection of juices and coffees or hot water for tea. We were very happy with the breakfast. Our room was comfortable and clean. We had read reviews saying it was noisy so we took earplugs with us and slept well. The hotel is situated in the centre of the old city and surrounded by places to eat which is a plus point. The noise associated with that is to be expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. We spent 7 nights there and if we returned to Florence would have no hesitation in staying again.

Lovely old palazzo building where they have honoured and preserved original features such as frescoed ceilings and walls, leaded glass and original doors. The terrace is private and a great place to relax anytime of the day or night, with complimentary refreshments. The hotel is welcoming and feels ‘lived in’ - it’s a great antidote to faceless impersonal chain hotels. A great choice of food and drinks for breakfast. The hotel echoes the very feel of Florence - it is in the very heart of the city within easy walking distance of so many attractions. I found the staff friendly and helpful.

Location was great, close to the Florence Duomo and the train station. This made orientation to the city easy. Visited the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, Gallerie de'll Accademia with Michelangelo's David. Went on a local walking tour and a day excursion to the Cinque Terra and Pisa. The room was delightful with a balcony and reasonably spacious. Breakfast was in the room with the ceiling frescos - very special. Also tea/coffee could be obtained here outside breakfast hours. The ambience of these combined 'palaces' was lovely.

The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful; they were a real joy. The breakfast room was lovely and the breakfast buffet quite broad, offering something for every taste. I particularly appreciated that guests could get coffee, tea, and water in the breakfast room at all hours. One of the reasons I selected the Hotel Paris was because the room was quite a bit larger than the average for a hotel in the historic district. The location was perfect.
